Important Dates:

The Christmas Party is on Sat. Dec. 12 at the Savannah Center. Alice Besler is collecting item for the raffle.  Mike asked for a volunteer to coordinate this event.  Larry Phillips said he would do it, Sandra Moraco will assist.  Sandra Fuller has a full report on the 2014 party.  A straw vote was taken regarding the possibility of members having to pay a part of the cost for the Christmas party.  The major agreed that they would approve of this.

Colonial days are on January 19th, 2016. Nancy Blackmore is the coordinator for this event.

Carvers

Bill McGinnis from the carvers has offered the services of the carvers  to work with anyone interested in learning how to carve or burning.  Any member can meet with the carvers on any Tue. or Wed. from 9-11.

Steve Yovan will be purchasing some price performance wood on Wed.  He hopes to have some Cherry wood available to the members.

Certification/Monitor duty

Dick Besler will have Monitor duty next week.  He will be going over things that are not on the film.  One of the problems currently is that members are taking the guard off of the Delta saw and putting it back on incorrectly. If you are not sure how to replace it correctly ask for help.

There will be 4 new members doing certification this Thursday.

Office Manager

Anne Bell reminded everyone that October will be a busy month.  The yearly waivers will need to be signed by all members. If you see that the front desk person is really busy please help out by giving a tour to the visitors who come in. There is in the front desk drawer a report telling you which printer will operate with which computer.

The nominating committee will need a short resume from anyone wishing to run for office or to be on the Board. Please leave it at the front desk.  Interviews will take place in Oct.
