GO TO BUTTONS:

Buttons have been distributed and most of the volunteers are wearing them.  We will encourage the volunteers to display the button so all can see them.

BINDERS:

The large stationary equipment manuals continue to be updated by Kathy Howe.  They are stored and available for use in the library.  Kathy should be commended for her effort.

FACE SHIELDS:

Face shields have been distributed.   Particular emphasis has been placed on their use when working on the lathes.  However it should be stressed that there are other operations where the use of the face shields would promote a safer working environment and should be encouraged.

INSTRUCTORS:

John Herega will be working with Bob Matthews to set up a process whereby all instructors will be refreshed on the proper safe usage of all equipment.   The process is yet to be determined; but, it will be an extension of the certification process.

MESSAGE BOARD:

We are in need of a volunteer to update, on a weekly basis, the message board.  Data such as date from last accident and other safety tips will be displayed.

SAFETY STRIPS:

John Herega has put non-skid tape on the stairs to the upper storage area, as well as by the doors and electrical boxes.

PARKING LOT STRIPING:

The Villages has restriped the upper parking lot.

MONITORS:

It is being suggested that we provide three (3) safety monitors on the floor instead of the (2) two we currently employ.  This will pertain to the peak season only and will assure better coverage of the shop from a safety perspective.  This issue will be taken to the board by John Herega.
