Proposal for Disposal of Delta
Lathe
When we replaced the two Woodtech Lathes
with the Powermatics we sold them for about $100 each. Now that we are replacing one of the Deltas
with the Robust. I propose that, instead of selling the Delta
for a minimum amount,we donate it to the Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch in Live
Oak, Florida. This is the ranch to which
members have already donated their time and supplies. This kind of community service is consistent
with the workshop efforts.
Additionally, the shop has an excess compound
miter and an excess scroll saw. They could be donated at the same time. This would
open up space in the shop. I propose
setting upa procedure that any excess tool will automatically be considered for donation to the ranch.
